Hormone Help
Not feeling like yourself lately?
If you’re 35+ and not feeling like yourself, you’re not imagining it.
I specialise in helping women in the years before their period stops make sense of what’s changing and what can actually help.
You don’t have to be having hot flushes for perimenopause to be in the picture. For a lot of women, it’s a whole lot of “little” changes that come and go - symptoms easy to put down to being busy, stressed or just getting older.
Common signs it might be perimenopause
Your sleep has changed.
Trouble falling asleep, early wake-ups or early waking.
Your weight or body shape is shifting…
Especially around your middle, despite eating much the same.
Your periods are changing.
Heavier
Lighter
Closer together
Further apart.
Or all of the above.
You feel more …
Tired, flat or wired-but-tired, even when life “on paper” hasn’t changed.
Your moods feel less predictable…
More (or new) anxiety, irritability, or tearfulness than usual.
No single symptom proves it’s perimenopause, but if you recognise yourself here, it’s worth looking a little more closely.
How hormones, nutrition + lifestyle fit together
Perimenopause is driven by hormone changes, but hormones don’t act in isolation.
The way you eat, sleep, move, recover and manage stress has a direct impact on your symptoms.
I think you need a toolbox. You can’t stop hormones shifting, but you can build up a set of tools you can reach for when symptoms are louder.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own.
Help yourself.
I write about the common things I see in clinic and simple, research-backed ways to help you feel better, fast.

Perimenopause is the time before menopause (when your periods stop completely). It can start as early as your 30’s and often shows up as changes in your cycle and how you feel.
If your periods are shifting, or you’ve noticed things like sleep problems, anxiety, weight gain despite doing everything the same or brain fog - perimenopause might be part of the picture.
-
Yes! This is something I wish more women understood.
As your body and hormones are shifting your system is more sensitive to how you eat, sleep and move.
You don’t need a complete life overhaul - but it’s in your interest to get the foundations right.
If you decide to take HRT you’ll also be more successful introducing it with lifestyle basics in place too.

I have several Functional Doctors I can refer you to if your needs are outside my scope.

Functional just means looking for the ‘root’ cause of your symptoms.
The goal is to find and 'fix' the problem - being preventative rather than just masking a symptom.
